Deputy Ministers Anna Natova and Dimitar Nedyalkov met with the President of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce

Transport and infrastructure are most important for Ukraine, both in the war, which is now in its third year, and for the country's post-conflict reconstruction. This was the general opinion at the meeting of the Deputy Ministers of Transport and Communications Anna Natova and Dimitar Nedyalkov with the President of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Gennady Chizhikov. He thanked Bulgaria for its significant role in supporting the export of goods from Ukraine and stressed that his country is looking for new logistic options for exports, especially of agricultural products.

Bulgaria has supported Ukraine since the first day of the war and will continue to actively assist when the reconstruction of the country begins. This was stated by Deputy Minister Anna Natova. "We are actively participating in the European Union's Solidarity Corridors initiative, our ports have capacity and are available. The ferry complex in Varna is the only transport facility in the European Union compatible with Ukrainian wagons," she added.

It is of great importance for Bulgaria to find long-term solutions to speed up the crossing of the border crossings with neighbouring countries, Deputy Minister Dimitar Nedyalkov said during the talks. In his words, an effective easing of traffic could be achieved if work on the construction of a second bridge at Ruse between Bulgaria and Romania is accelerated, as well as the commissioning of the ferry in the same area.
