1-3 June 2015 Sofia will host International Summer School for young people dedicated to new media and Internet Governance Policy


The training is organized as a side event of the 8th edition of the European Dialogue on Internet governance (EuroDIG) 2015, which will be held on 4 and 5 June in Sofia.

Ministry of Transport, Information technology and Communications is institutional partner of the forum with the local organizer UNICART.

Participants are required to be in the age range of 18 to 30 years, with interests in Internet governance, access, intellectual property rights, data protection, internationalized domain names, network neutrality, new media, empowerment etc. For the organizers it is important to give young people the opportunity to be engaged in discussion of topics by sharing their views on Internet governance issues. In the main event EvroDIG 2015 framework leading ideas of young people will be available to representatives of governments, research institutes, academia, media, business and civil society from all over Europe.

Participation in Summer School is free of charge, as candidates can fill out an application online at the following link http://www.eurodig.org/index.php?id=365. Participants can show their willingness to engage not only in EuroDIG 2015, but also in other pre-event dedicated to the region of Southeast Europe, with the theme "Multistakeholder Internet governance : from global debates to the realities in Southeast Europe ", which will be held on June 3, 2015 in Sofia.

Summer School for young people from across Europe is in line with the overarching  theme of this year's EuroDIG "Shaping the Internet together." European dialogue on Internet governance is an open platform, where to discuss and exchange ideas on emerging issues and challenges related to Internet among all stakeholders.

The working language of the forum is English.
