The Workgroup, Exploring the Possibilities for Taxation Conditions Equalization For Our Seamen Will Announce Its Statement till the End of the Week

According to the order of the Minister of Transport Peter Mutafchiev, the interdepartmental workgroup, which explores the possibilities for taxation conditions equalization for our seamen, employed on Bulgarian or foreign ships must form a motivated statement till the end of the week. Minister Mutafchiev suggested that the Ministry of Finance and NAP should not launch any actions toward the seamen till the moment, we have an end-statement, and he received the consent of the Minister of Finance Plamen Oresharski. The Ministry of Transport suggests, after an examination of the European legislation that the taxation of the seamen must be a flat-tax, between 2 - 6%, which to be applied with backdate. We would like to remind you that the problem with the taxation of the seamen work has been never resolved by the previous governmental administrations, what caused accumulation of considerable amount of takings.
