Minister Mutafchiev Initiated a Meeting with the Mayors of Pomorie and Tsarevo

The Minister of Transport Peter Mutafchiev initiated a meeting with the mayors of the municipalities Pomorie and Tsarevo on June 27, 2007. The Occasion for the talks is the yesterday’s resolution of the Ministers Council, regarding the giving of the ports in Pomorie, Tsarevo and Ahtopol under the control of the municipalities. The idea is to discusse the possibility to develop them to yacht-ports.
The municipalities offered to manage these regional ports, as this will widen the profile for development of the region and will create a unified conception for the development of the municipalities’ infrastructure.
This will facilitate their development as ports for yacht tourism and amusement, and will support the development of the tourism. The ports will be maintained and managed with local resources.
The ports Pomorie, Tsarevo and Ahtopol are part of application №1, article 103a, paragraph1, section1, from the Sea Spaces, Domestic Waterways and Ports of the Republic of Bulgaria law, as ports for civil transportation with regional importance.
