The Consortiums SISTRA and SUDOP Praha are the Subcontractors of the Two Projects for Rehabilitation of the Railway Lines Plovdiv – Burgas and Mezdra – Gorna Oriahovitsa

The Deputy Minister of Transport Vesela Gospodinova, in the Presence of the Minister of Transport Peter Mutafchiev, signed today the two contracts for technical aid for the infrastructure rehabilitation of some sectors on the railway lines Plovdiv - Burgas and Mezdra - Gorna Oriahovitsa.

Executor of the Project for the railway line Mezdra - Gorna Oriahovitsa is the consortium between Sistra (FRANCE) and Sudop Praha (Czech Republic) Getinsa (Spain), Trans El Engineering (Bulgaria) and "Vector-Bul" Ltd. (Bulgaria). The contract was signed by the Vice-president of Sistra Eric Leka, with the total value of 5 460 000 Euro.

The second contract for technical aid for the railway line Plovdiv - Burgas was signed with the consortium between Sudop Praha and Trans El Engineering (Bulgaria). The Deputy-Chairman of the Director Board and Commercial Manager of Sudop Praha Tomas Slavichek signed the contract. The value of the contract is 2 980 000 Euro.

After the Signing of the contracts Minister Mutafchiev said that the successful accomplishment of these projects would give the possibility to carry out competitions for executors of the building, engineering, supplies and supervision of the railway sectors Plovdiv - Burgas and Mezdra Gorna Oriahovitsa. The both segments are part of the Sectoral Operational Program "Transport" alternative list of projects, this should give a potential possibility to candidate for EC Cohesion Fund financing.

With the realization of the both projects a possibility will be opened for the improvement of the  travel safety, comfort and speed on the railway infrastructure in these directions, important not only for the Bulgarian citizens but for the  whole economy of the country, also said the Minister.
