Bulgaria Will Be a Host of the CEI Transport Ministers Meeting

Bulgaria will be a host of the CEI transport ministries meeting and will take the presidency of South East European Cooperation Process (SEECP). The forum will take place on October 15-16, 2007 in Varna Resort "Slanchev Den" ("Marina" Hotel).

The main subject of the meeting will be "The Modernization of the Transport Infrastructure on the Main Directions of the Trans-European Transport Network. The development of the Trans-European network and its connections with the neighbor countries and regions will be matter of the discussions during the talks, as well as the expansion of the transport infrastructure with financing from the European funds, the international financial institutions and the state budget and also the preparation of suitable projects for financing through the European funds.

The forum will be opened by the Bulgarian Minister of Transport Peter Mutafchiev. The Minister of Transport of Greece Kostis Hadzidakis, The Minister of Public Works, Transport and Telecommunications of Albania Sokol Aldashi, The Minister of Transport and Communication of Macedonia Mile Janakievski, The Minister of Maritime Affairs, Transportation and Telecommunication of Monte Negro Andrija Lompar, the Director-General of CEI Herald Kraid, the CEI Person responsible for the projects Guido Paoluci, will attend the meeting, as well as representatives of Austria, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, The Czech Republic, Italy, Moldavia, Poland, Rumania, Slovakia, Slovenia and Turkey.
