Minister Tsvetkov Ordered Massive Checks in the Automobile Transport

09.08.2009

The Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Aleksandar Tsvetkov ordered to Executive Agency "Automobile Administration" to start massive checks in the field of automobile transportations. These activities are part of the anti-crisis measures Minister Tsvetkov declared to start in the field of automobile transportations. The main purpose for the inspections is to uncover unregulated, paid transportations of passengers and freights, accomplished as transportations for own account.

For the period from July 31, 2009 to August 5, 2009 - 2 517 automobile transport means has been checked, which have accomplished transportations for own account - 2 453 are freight vehicles and 64 passengers vehicles. 298 acts have been drawn up - 9 for the accomplishment of passenger transportation, and the others for transportations of freights.  Forthcoming is the issuing of punitive enactments and their dispatch to the State Receivables Collection Agency for compulsory collection of penalties.

Another focus of the massive checks is the observation of the rules for the accomplishment of international transportations of passengers and freights by foreign drivers concerning the license regime and the rules for the driving time and the rest intervals for the drivers of automobile transport means.

The massive checks in the whole country will continue and the results will be published in time.
