Minister Moskovski will participate in ITU Telecom World 2012

The minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Ivaylo Moskovski will participate in the Summit of leaders, which takes place within the Universal Exhibition of Telecommunications and Information Technology - ITU Telecom World 2012. The event is organized by the International Telecommunication Union and will take place from 14 to 18 October 2012 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Minister Moskovski will present Bulgaria's experience in the development of the National Programme for Disaster Protection, development and improvement of national emergency centers (112), the introduction of intelligent transport systems, including pan-European emergency call (eCall). The importance of active international cooperation is one of the highlights in the speech of Ivailo Moskovski during the ministerial meeting.

The focus is on the perspectives and best practices for the implementation of policies and strategies in the field of Information Technology and Communications. Major emphasis will be placed on innovation, cyber security, smart applications, e-health, broadband issues.

The International Telecommunication Union is the specialized agency of the United Nations for policy, standards, international management of radio frequency spectrum and satellite orbits, as well as the development of ICT  worldwide. The organization held every three years international exhibitions, which are among the biggest events in the industry.

Expo 2012 opened on October 14 and attracted thousands of participants, about 300 of whom are heads of state, ministers, prominent business executives, consultants, eminent academics. As speakers at the event unless ministers from about 40 countries will participate and prominent business leaders.
