The kingdom of Morocco interested in Bulgarian experience in the field of IT

Morocco is interested in Bulgarian experience in the field of information technologies. Bulgarian Minster of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Ivaylo Moskovski and Morocco’s Minister of Industry, Trade and New Technology Abdelkader Amara endorsed an agreement on cooperation in the field of IT and communications. The official signing ceremony, was also attended by Bulgarian Minister of Economy, Energy and Tourism Delyan Dobrev.

“Realizing that project made us change over 300 pieces of legislation” said minister Moskovski. All of that became truth because of hard work of the whole government. “At the present moment Bulgaria ranks first in Europe in terms of internet access in big cities” the minister added.

Minister Abdelkader Amara was impressed by the progress made in the project for implementation of electronic identification and informed that Morocco is actively working on similar projects and external experience is essential for them.

The draft agreement regulates the relations between the two countries in the field of information technologies and communications. development and it outlines the priority fields, in which the two countries will cooperate. The main objective of the bilateral cooperation in this area is the development of relations in the field of e-government, information and network security policies for information society development, joint research projects, supporting the development of business relations, capacity building and human resources and spectrum management.
