He stressed that today's edition is special because it is dedicated to the 150th anniversary of Port Rousse.

Deputy Minister Anton Ginev recalled that on November 7, 1866 has been officially opened the stone quay wall built by Italian craftsmen, which marked the launch of the biggest Bulgarian port along the Danube River. He added that the port and the railway line have turned into a very strong foundation for the Bulgarian economy in the period after the liberation of Bulgaria.

The anniversary of the port is memorialized by a postal-philatelic edition designed by the artist Valentin Shtinkov. It depicts the building of Port Rousse from the time of its construction, as well as boats that have sailed in the river 150 years ago. The edition consists of a postage stamp with a circulation of 11 000 copies and a special postmark that will be available for usage in Sofia Post Office 1000 for three working days.
