Bulgaria аnd Greece express readiness to accelerate multimodal corridor construction activities

The Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Rossen Jeliazkov and the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport of the Hellenic Republic Kostas Karamanlis agreed to accelerate the process of construction of the multimodal corridor of “Thessaloniki-Kavala-Alexandroupolis-Burgas-Varna-Rousse”. This happened during a working meeting between the two ministers, within the framework of the Fourth session of the High Level Cooperation Council between the Governments of Bulgaria and Greece. Minister Rossen Jeliazkov stated that during the meeting they discussed key issues for the implementation of the project concerning the financing and infrastructure maintenance. "Our teams are yet to specify where the border crossing point will be situated, which is important both for the construction of the new one and for the integration of the existing infrastructure," Jeliazkov added after the talks.
