Fifty-six transport operators provide services that require cybersecurity measures. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Andreana Atanasova during a roundtable on "New administrative arrangements in the field of network and information security - challenges and solutions". Deputy Minister Andreana Atanasova said that the Operational Center for Air Traffic Management already has an operational center for reactions in the event of a breakdown in the information and communication infrastructure. It is certified according to the ISO / IEC 27001: 2013 Information Security Management Standard. The project was co-financed by the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF). In this regard, it reminded all interested parties that they could apply for CEF funding, with the call for proposals open until 14 November 2019.

Andreana Atanasova informs that a unit is being set up to coordinate measures for network and information security in transport, digital infrastructure and services. "In connection with the implementation of the Cybersecurity Act, we are exploring the possibilities of obtaining financial assistance under European capacity-building programs and facilitating interaction with other Member States," she added.

“We need good information and coordination, trained human resources and adequate funding. We know this is a process and we have already started our ministry, "the deputy minister said. She added that all institutions expect the creation of good organization and synergies at national level to enhance the impact of individual efforts. Making real progress will boost confidence, and hence the demand and use of more services, said Andreana Atanasova.
