The flights of Boeing 737 Max airplanes in the airspace of Bulgaria are restricted

Today, March 12, 2019 at 21:00 Bulgarian time, the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) issued a safety directive concerning Boeing 737 8/9 MAX. In connection with this, the Civil Aviation Administration issued the necessary instructions restricting the flights of these airplanes in the Bulgarian airspace, including the take-offs and the landings at the Bulgarian airports, except for the overhaul / repair flights. It will also ensure the service and safe landing of aircraft of the same type in the event of an emergency situation.

Earlier this evening, a plane of this type flying from Hurghada to Amsterdam landed seamlessly at Sofia Airport.
