Minister Ivaylo Moskovski: The Bulgarian Posts join the campaign in support of Hitrino

I have ordered the Bulgarian Posts to join the campaign in support of Hitrino village, which is in a state of extreme crisis after a railway accident. That has explained the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, Mr. Ivaylo Moskovski.

He stated that courier packages, addressed to the municipality and to the residents of Hitrino, or to the crisis center in Timarevo village are going to be received for a one-month period as service consignments, i.e. the senders of the consignments will not pay for them. The consignments shall be up to 20 kg. The consignees shall be the municipality of Hitrino, the residents of the village or the crisis center in Timarevo village. The admissible content of the consignments are foodstuffs, clothes, blankets, essential goods etc. The packages will be received in all the post offices of Bulgarian Posts PLC and the offices of EMS/Bulpost. They shall be opened for control of the content.

The Bulgarian Posts PLC will ensure service reception and payment of ordinary postal money transfers to the residents of Hitrino, and to the opened account for donations of Hitrino municipality: “D COMMERCE BANK”AD BG95DEMI92403100181704, DEMIBGSF.

Until the resumption of the activity of the post in Hitrino, the services, included in the campaign will be performed by the office in Timarevo.

Once the Ministry of Interior allows the employees of Bulgarian Posts PLC to enter in the premises of the postal office in Hitrino, and to inspect the damages, they will undertake immediate measures to resume the work of the office. In the meantime, employees of the company are in contact with the evacuated residents of the village in order to specify the address of the express consignments delivery for them.
