Minister Ivaylo Moskovski gave permission for use of the new metro station "Vitosha"

The Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Ivaylo Moskovski gave today permission for use of the new station "Vitosha" to the director of "Metropolitan" EAD, Stoyan Bratoev. Minister Moskovski participated in the official opening ceremony of a new 1.3 km long stretch of the underground railway and a new subway station at the intersection of “Cherni Vrah” Blvd. and “Srebarna” Str.

"This project is a proof for the good cooperation between the Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications and Sofia Municipality," said Minister Moskovski during the opening. According to him, the financial justification of the project and its division into two stages was quite complicated. The section was built with funds under the previous and the present Operational Programme for transport, totaling at € 21 million.

The ceremonial ribbon for opening of metro station "Vitosha" was cut by Prime Minister Boyko Borisov, the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, Ivaylo Moskovski, the Mayor of Sofia, Yordanka Fandakova, the Head of the European Commission Representation in Bulgaria, Ognyan Zlatev and the Executive Director of "Metropolitan" EAD Stoyan Bratoev. The ceremony was also attended by the Minister of Finance, Vladislav Goranov,the Minister of Culture, Vejdi Rashidov and MPs.
