Minister Ivaylo Moskovski: Hristo Botev is one of the most respected individuals in Bulgarian philately with more than 25 postage stamps issued

The 170th anniversary of Hristo Botev's birth was marked today by the validation of a postage stamp. The stamp of the edition was placed by the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Ivaylo Moskovski, the Mayor of Sofia Yordanka Fandakova, the President of “Hristo Botyov” Foundation Boyan Botyiov and the artist Stoyan Dechev.

"Hristo Botev is one of the most respected individuals in the Bulgarian philately with more than 25 postage stamps issued. In the year of the Presidency of Bulgaria of the Council of the European Union, with events like today's validation, we send a message about our national values", said Minister Ivaylo Moskovski.

This is a collectible card as it recreates for the first time a portrait of Hristo Botev, painted by the famous Bulgarian artist Aleksandar Poplilov.
