Organizers of the prestigious event are the International Telecommunication Union and the European Union Agency for Network and Information Security (ENISA).

Main topics in the discussions during the first day of the forum are the strategies for Cybersecurity in Europe and the protection of critical information infrastructure. During the second day the participants will focus on the activities of the Network and Information Security  Centres.

Bulgaria is a host of the Cybersecurity Forum for Europe for the third time. In 2008 and 2012 delegates discussed in Sofia the protection of information infrastructure at the national, regional and international level and the partnership between the state and private sector. Then was carried out a virtual Cyber Exercise, which involved the Computer Security Incidents Response Teams from 19 countries.
