MTITC presents key transport projects before EBRD and leading companies in the sector

The Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications presented key transport projects that need financing before the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, at today’s conference on Bulgaria’s perspectives for development, organized by EBRD. The event took place at the bank’s headquarters in London and was opened by the Deputy Minister of Economy, Alexander Manolev.

Dimitar Savov, Director of National Transport Policy Directorate at MTITC, presented major transport projects, as the focus of the event were technology and innovation development, energy and infrastructure projects and tourism.

The participants in the event discussed public-private partnership opportunities as a tool for improving regional connectivity. Concession of Sofia Airport was also discussed, and EBRD’s representatives who participate in the concession preparation, stated that this partnership model proved successful in many countries.
