The implementation of a result-oriented and sustainable policy is the basis for building a financially stable, efficient and safe rail system. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Velik Zanchev at the opening of a round table in Brussels on "Financing rail transport in the Multiannual Financial Framework post 2020". This is the first official event in the transport sector of the calendar of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

OPTTI 2014-2020 Managing Authority approved the project for the purchase of multifunctional dredging equipment on the river Danube. The project is financed under OP Transport and Transport Infrastructure and amounts to over 20 million levs. The envisaged deliverables include the purchase of dredging equipment, tubes for deposit transportation, chalice, pontoon and maneuvering ship.

The Bulgarian Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Ivaylo Moskovski and the Serbian Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajić signed a Memorandum on the reduction of international roaming tariffs between the two countries. Thus, over 5000 Bulgarian towns and villages with no free access to a public Internet network, will be able to apply for funding to the European Commission.

The Minister emphasized that the combination of modern means and good practices in cybersecurity is the key to secure storage and processing of data, not the localization. It is important to benefit by the positive practices at European and national level as this would ensure good cooperation and significantly reduce the administrative and financial burden, he added.

We are going to work together with the Ministry of Transport of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on preparing cooperation agreements in the field of air and maritime transport. This was announced by the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, Ivaylo Moskovski after his meeting with the Minister of Transport of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Nabil bin Mohammed Al-Amoudi. Ivaylo Moskovski is in the Kingdom as part of the official delegation headed by Prime Minister Boyko Borissov.
