CHRISTINA VELINOVA

Caretaker Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, responsible for policy in the field of road and air transport, concessions and control over companies and state-owned enterprises activities in air transport, Euro-Atlantic cooperation, European Union affairs and international cooperation.

Christina Velinova holds a Master's degree in economics. In her professional career she has held positions in the Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, Executive Agency “Road Transport Administration”, DG “Civil Aviation Administration”, the Permanent Representation of Bulgaria to the EU and State Enterprise “Air Traffic Services Authority”.

Christina Velinova began her professional career at the Ministry of Transport in 1999 as an expert in „Foreign Transport Policy” Directorate. For over 11 years she has occupied various positions in the international directorate of Executive Agency “Road Transport Administration”. From 2012 to 2013 she has been Head of “International Affairs” Department at DG “Civil Aviation Administration”. For four years she has been First Secretary at the Permanent Representation of Bulgaria to the European Union in Brussels in the field of air and road transport. Since 2017 she has been an advisor on European policies at State Enterprise "Air Traffic Services Authority".
