A contractor has been selected for the supply of 7 double-decker electric trains under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan

The Minister for Transport and Communications Georgi Gvozdeikov signed today the decision for the selection of a contractor for the delivery of 7 double-decker trains, which will be purchased with funds under the Recovery and Resilience Plan.

The tender was opened in mid-February and the bids were opened at the end of March. The evaluation showed that the offer of the Polish company Stadler Polska Sp. z o.o. met all the requirements of the Contracting Authority. The proposed price is BGN 300 513 279,50 and the delivery period of the rolling stock is 26 months. The contract with the selected contractor will be signed within the statutory deadlines.

In parallel, negotiations with the Spanish company Patentes Talgo SL for the supply of 20 push-pull trains start tomorrow, and the public tender for the supply of 35 electric multiple unit trains has been reopened today at the tender submission stage with a deadline of 11 April 2024.
