Georgi Gvozdeykov: Bulgarian Ports Infrastructure Company already has a port operator's license, the transfer of Rosenets will be completed before the 30-day deadline

The transfer of ownership of the Rosenets terminal to the state is already underway and will be completed before the 30-day deadline. This was stated by the Minister of Transport and Communications Georgi Gvozdeykov during a visit to the port terminal today.

Bulgarian Ports Infrastructure Company already has a port operator license. We are negotiating with Lukoil to reach an agreement for joint operation of the tax warehouse, which is a requirement for obtaining a Certificate of Operability for the terminal,’ he said.

In the next 3 months, an analysis will be prepared, which is related to the security of the site and will determine the security measures that the state will impose on the terminal, Minister Gvozdeykov further informed.

There will be no disruption in the fuel market as a result of the transfer of ownership of the terminal, the Minister explained. ‘We operate in an open market and fuel prices are not expected to be affected by what is happening at the moment. There are other options for crude oil supply and we have taken action in this direction. The whole government is working as a team so that there is no negative effect on the Bulgarian fuel market and Bulgarian citizens,’ Georgi Gvozdeykov said.
