Minister Georgi Gvozdeykov opened the new academic year at the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy (UASG)

In just a few years, the new designers and builders of the country's modern infrastructure will emerge from here. This was said by the Minister of Transport and Communications Georgi Gvozdeykov during the opening of the academic year at the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy.

"Every day we talk about new projects, investments and reforms in all sectors of our economy. We should not forget that the basis of this process is the knowledge and Bulgarian scientists, who are highly appreciated not only in Bulgaria, but also abroad," Minister Gvozdeykov stressed.

The Transport Minister stressed that the future of rail transport lies in railways that allow trains to run at 300 km/h. "I wish you to be the people who will design and implement them," he addressed the freshmen, who this year numbered nearly 700.

The event was attended by the Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Nikolay Naydenov, the Chairman of the Road Infrastructure Agency Yassen Yordanov, representatives of the Chamber of Engineers in Investment Design and the Chamber of Architects in Bulgaria, and others.
