A postcard dedicated to the 180th anniversary of Vassil Levski's birth is from today part of the rich philatelic series of the Apostle of Freedom. The validation seal was placed in Karlovo by Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Angel Popov and by the Mayor of the Municipality Dr. Emil Kabaivanov.
The dynamic growth of e-commerce in recent years is a significant factor for the postal sector, that was stated by Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Dimitar Genovski during the talks with representatives of the State Post Bureau of the People’s Republic of China. One of the main goals of the official visit of the representatives of the Chinese postal administration in Bulgaria is the development of cooperation in the exchange of postal items between the two countries.
The Bulgarians are at eight place by activity within use of the EU Portal “Your Europe” for 2016. Pursuant to an order of the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Ivaylo Moskovski, Directorate General Civil Aviation Administration (DG CAA) has started in the beginning of the week an overall inspection to the activity of Bulgaria Air Airline Company. The reason for the inspection has been the number of delayed flights of the Airline Company in the recent days as at present DG CAA has received over 100 complaints.
Bulgaria and Greece have agreed to extend the multimodal transport corridor between the two countries connecting the ports of Varna, Bourgas, Kavala and Alexandroupolis during a meeting between the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Ivaylo Moskovski and the Greek Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Christos Spirtzis.

The introduction of common standards in the telecommunications of the Member States of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) is being discussed. This is one of the topics of the ITU Committee meeting - Com-ITU, which takes place from 4 to 6 July 2017 in Sofia. Experts from more than 25 member states, as well as representatives of the European Commission, international and regional organizations in the field of telecommunications and ICT participate in Com-ITU.
Citizens and companies requested more than 7000 Internet names in the „bg” (“бг“) domain. Over 1500 of them were subject to analysis of conformity with the registration criteria. The first 377 Internet sites in the “bg” (“бг“) domain are already available in the global network. Separately, the Public Council to the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Ivaylo Moskovski approved a list of reserved over 32 000 Internet names in Cyrillic of geographic, cultural sights and governmental institutions.
The Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications greeted all the persons employed in the aviation sector. The reason was the 70th Anniversary of the first flight of Bulgarian Civil Aviation. The flight was performed on Sofia-Burgas regular line. Draft of amendment and integration of the Electronic Communications Act envisages sanction from BGN 50 000 to BGN 2 000 000 for the mobile operators that break the new rules for roaming in the European Union. The European Commission (EC) approved the Bulgarian support measures in favor of BDZ. Brussels found that the measures are in line with the European Union (EU) state aid rules. It has become clear today by the received official notification from the Commission.

The dropping of roaming charges within the European Union is the beginning of a new era of freedom of borderless communications, commented the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Ivaylo Moskovski during the "Without Roaming" solemn ceremony, which took place within the European Digital Assembly. The event is being held within the Maltese Presidency of the Council of the European Union in Valletta and has involved more than 700 representatives of governments, public organizations and companies.

Minister Ivaylo Moskovski has set several goals to improve the quality of the practical exams that experts will work on.
The first objective is to develop a new methodology for selecting the routes to be followed during the exam. One of the options is for each candidate to be pre-set the starting and ending points of the route as the candidate chooses which way to pass. In this way, examiners will not be able to choose easier routes for some candidates and difficult for other. The second measure is the representatives of the driving schools not to be in the examination committees.
Bulgaria is on 11th place in the European Union on distribution of high-speed internet, with more than half (55%) of fixed network access subscriptions having a high-speed connection. That stated the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Ivaylo Moskovski at the meeting of the Council of the European Union for Transport, Telecommunications and Energy (Telecommunication format) in Luxembourg. He emphasized that mobile broadband subscribers are constantly growing.
The first Bulgarian postage stamp, dedicated to Carl Djerassi' s encyclopedic nature, was validated today. The validation stamp was put by Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Dimitar Genovski, Deputy Minister of Health Svetlana Yordanova and the son of the world-famous scientist Dale Djerassi.
