Hristo Alexiev put his first signature as Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications at the commemoration of the Connecting Europe Express Initiative. The act took place at a ceremony to send the train passing through Bulgaria on the occasion of the European Year of Rail.

"Currently, railway projects worth BGN 3 billion are being implemented with European funding," Hristo Alexiev said in his speech to the representatives of the European Commission.

Eight teams took part in the Sailing Competition "BORA Sailing Championship - Burgas 2021", which was held in the the Port of Burgas in the weekend. The final round in Burgas was won by a team of Yacht Club Port Varna "Wildcard". The teams "Ultramarine SVC" and "Park mart" took second and third place.

Bulgaria's active role in the activities of the Universal Postal Union has received high recognition, said the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Georgi Todorov on the election of our country for a member of the Postal Operations Council of the UPU. A centralized dispatch system will control in real time the run of trains on the 138-kilometer section from Svetovrachane to Sopot. The Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Georgi Todorov inspected the system implementation process. It is located in the Unified Center for Train Traffic Management at Sofia Railway Station. BGN 9,855,361 without VAT have been allocated for its implementation, and the deadline for implementation is July 2022.

Both ministers are demanding an official statement in a short notice on whether local authorities and the public are in favour of the idea of building a new railway station next to the current reception building.

The implemented modern security equipment in the section of Sindel Railway Station guarantees a high level of safety for the run of passenger and freight trains passing. The railway station operates intensively at six directions in the country.

With the complete reconstruction for more convenience and security, new higher platforms with shelters for passengers have been built, 6020 m long railway lines have been renewed, fire protection has been provided, the old switches, poles and the catenary have been renewed.
